aboutHi there,

My name is Paul Hegarty and I started internet marketing back in 2004. I built my first site using site sell, I thought I would have it built in four weeks but it ended up taking me six months and many years after that I continued to build on to it.

It was not until 2007 that I started to make any money online; yes it took me 3 years. The transition occurred when I realized that what I was trying too many techniques and not finishing any of them.

I also realized that I was shooting in the dark, I did not know where my sales where coming from. Last but not least, I know now from looking back that I was really not passionate about what I was doing.

What I decided to do at the end of 2007 and throughout 2008 was to focus on article marketing. I knew that I needed to focus on one thing, complete it and get the results.

The results were positive but not fantastic, but nonetheless I had proven that there was a scalable way of making money that could be improved.

I always had an interest in internet marketing - but the way it was presented or sold often turned me off, I found it to be very self serving and I had a challenge because I really enjoyed doing it - but I could not engage in hype without providing real results where people could take those results and prove it for themselves..

Then late in 2008 I figured something out; I found what was really of interest to me. One was development, in terms of building sites – in effect being creative, but I knew that I also had to prove that the sites I developed provided a viable opportunity for its new owner.

I also knew that I could get into the internet marketing arena, but only if I could present people with real data that could prove that certain marketing techniques could work for them online.

I also set out to prove that if you really wanted to build a venture online then you could do it, but I knew that I had to prove it first.

So in 2009 I set out with the online moneymakingfacts blog to share results of what I was testing, I also wanted to prove the difference between just trying to make money online with an ordinary site over that of creating a venture that you are really passionate about.

The second would have to be done intelligently because what you are passionate about can often be competitive online. In my case my passion is Golf.

So throughout 2009 I will be sharing the techniques that I use to develop that site and reporting the results back to this blog. This will be an ongoing story.

My goal is to prove to folks and more importantly point out that you can really make it online/offline doing something that you really love to do.

You have to find out what your deep interest is, it took me long enough, but trust me when you do, competition, what others are doing does not matter, because fundamentally you love what you are doing.

In addition you are not as easily influenced and you do not jump from one opportunity to the next in the hope of striking it rich overnight.

When you really love what you do, it will be evident in your actions and money will be a byproduct of those actions.

It’s not money that is important, it is who we are that is important, at least that is my humble observation.

No matter what you chose to do in life there will always be those who criticize you, but that is because they are folks who chose to criticize and their criticism at the end of the day should have no bearing on your accomplishments in life, because after all that is there choice and not yours.

The goal is very simple, share the reality of what I do, there will be mistakes made and challenges along the way, but if you are up for the challenge then you will accomplish what you wish to accomplish.

In my humble judgment it is not my place to tell people what to do but rather to point out what I am doing and provide the results relative to that.

It is up to you to take action, your own experience will be far more profound over that of other peoples experiences.

No matter what you chose to do in Life I wish you all the happiness, health and success.

Best Wishes
Paul Hegarty
